What is colon hydrotherapy?
Colon hydrotherapy (also called colonic irrigation) is a gentle infusion of filtered, temperature-regulated water used to cleanse the colon and support healthy elimination. Your session is performed by Patrice Bullock, MSN, FNP-C — Board Certified, Functional Medicine, Family Nurse Practitioner, a member of the International Association for Colon Hydrotherapy (I-ACT).
Why would I want it?
Many patients come to us feeling sluggish, bloated, or "backed up," or as part of a broader detoxification and digestive wellness plan. Because it works directly on the colon, it's paired with our functional medicine and nutritional therapy services rather than used as a stand-alone treatment.
What's involved?
You'll be walked through what to expect before your session begins, including how to prepare and what happens during the treatment itself. The process is private, gentle, and paced around your comfort — nothing is rushed.
How long does it take?
We will schedule you for a 10-minute phone or telehealth consultation with Patrice prior to scheduling your appointment. A typical colonic session runs about 30 minutes. Your first visit is scheduled for 2 hours to allow time for a full wellness consultation and to address all concerns you have before we begin.
What if I have other medical conditions?
Tell us about your full health history before scheduling. Because this service is integrated with your broader care at New Genesis Center, we review your medical background first to make sure colon hydrotherapy is appropriate for you. We do not offer this service as a stand-alone service, unless you're already an established patient.
Pricing, payment options, & insurance
Your initial root-cause wellness consultation and colon hydrotherapy session will be $329. We accept cash, checks, FSA/HSA cards, Visa, American Express, Mastercard, and Discover. We can provide a super bill if your insurance reimburses you for this service. Payment plans and Care Credit (coming soon) are available for patients as well.
